Curriculum vitae

After completing my PhD thesis my professional life has been dominated by two different paths – an executive career in a large international organization followed by a career as entrepreneur.

After the thesis I founded the company Photonic Research, working with software development and associated consultancy services in the field of fibre optical telecommunication networks.

In 1993 I joined Ericsson, the world-leading supplier of telecommunication equipment, holding various managerial positions in research and development before being promoted to head of Product Management with profit and loss responsibility for broadband access products. In 1996 I was recruited to Ericsson Mobile Phones as General Manager responsible for advanced mobile phones and mobile internet solutions. The position involved functional responsibility for research, product development, patents and intellectual property rights, procurement, product support, industrialization, and product volume ramp-up. The organization was located on several sites in Europe, USA , and China . Volume production and industrialization was carried out in Sweden and in China . The business had a turn-over of several BSEK. I participated in the Ericsson team that founded Symbian, the world-leading mobile software platform company. During this period I served as an Ericsson press spokes person, with regular interviews in media.

In 2001 I left the corporate path for a career as an entrepreneur. Dialogue Technologies was founded in late 2002 and in 2006 Satsafe – a pioneer in mobile security solutions - was acquired together with a small group of entrepreneurs and investors. Dialogue Technologies is a high-tech growth company, while Satsafe has been a turn-around project, revisiting business direction and product offering. Satsafe was sold in a trade sale in 2010.

In 2008 I invested in ESC Camps, a travel company where my focus has been on creating an extensive on-line presence and setting up viral marketing activities.

In 2010 I invested in Ikonoskop AB, an original manufacturer of professional digital film cameras.

In parallel to this I have acted as senior advisor to the Swedish defense group SAAB, Time Zone AB. I also serve as a lecturer at KTH Executive School.

Skills
The primary focus is managing international high-tech organizations, including multi-site product development, product planning, procurement, cross-cultural management, and outsourcing, being a pioneer in outsourcing both product development and production to China. I have consistently received excellent scores in management reviews from staff and employers. Over time I have acquired unique skills in the following areas:

- A solid understanding of the entire process from research and development, through production, and on to marketing, sales, and customer service operations.

- International business negotiations. The responsibility for mobile phones involved procurement from global suppliers as well as sales to global customers. I have participated in several corporate mergers and acquisitions.

- Managing technology with a focus of turning technology into products.

- I have built up an extensive international network.

- Entrepreneurship, where the past years have added experience from start-ups and growth companies, including issues of marketing, sales and financing. Satsafe has been brought to the point of a major launch with Europe' s largest reseller of consumer electronics.

I am fluent in Swedish, French, and English both verbally and written. I also have very good knowledge of Russian and some knowledge of German.

Personal information

I am 53 years old with a family consisting of a wife and two children. I am a very keen sailor and still race sailing boats. The whole family is interested in outdoor activities.
